New Things Are Happening

February is OVER and you're invited all sorts of sh*t this March!

Hey there, Pattern pals! This past Tuesday we hosted a little event to say farewell to our longtime, much-loved board chair Barry Wormser (Wormser Casey Legal Counsel); to welcome in our new board chair, Melanie Allen (Green Loop Marketing); to reflect on some pretty exciting work we accomplished in 2024; AND to chat a bit about what’s in store for 2025.

We’re excited to have you with us for the ride!

And speaking of plans . . .

Our own Polina Osherov is moderating the When Art & Sports Combine panel as part of the She Creates Sports Summit. This is an all-day event happening this Friday, March 7. If you see her there, tell her we said hi! She’s up in Fort Wayne for the first part of this week for the annual Indiana Tourism Conference . . . TBH, we miss her already!

Atrevida is an exhibition celebrating International Women’s Day through the eyes of Indy Latina Artists (ILA). The collection of work will be on public view from March 1 through March 28, 2025, at Pattern’s SPACE Lounge in the Stutz Building.

The exhibition will launch with an exclusive, invitation-only reception on March 7, 2025, from 6-8 PM—a special evening dedicated to honoring Indy’s Latina creatives in an intimate setting. Guests will enjoy an immersive cultural experience featuring live music, a Flamenco dance performance, a poetry recital, and light refreshments.

Why are we telling you about an invite-only event? Because you’re invited! Email [email protected] if you’d like to join us.

With Deep Gratitude to Atrevida’s Premier Sponsors:

The Stutz
Rebecca Kubacki
Ileana Monts De Oca
Mirror Indy
Alexa Barreras
Les Reinhardt
Victoria Odekomaya
Brittany M.
Nur Ungan
Tamara Mendez

A special thank you to Julie Whitsett for her generous support of the SPACE Lounge, making it possible for Indy creatives to share their work with the community. Without this support, exhibitions like Atrevida would not be possible.

On March 13 from 5-7 PM, we’re here to celebrate all of Indiana’s filmmaking professionals—a key industry within our creative economy! Join us as we kick off what we hope will be a game-changing year for our film and commercial video industries.

Part networking, part panel discussion, this event is all about bringing the industry together—from hair & makeup artists to art directors, musicians to costumers, sound and camera crews to location scouts, producers, and investors. Whether you're behind the scenes or in front of the lens, this is your space to connect, collaborate, and fuel the momentum for 2025!

We’ll also unveil an upcoming educational series for emerging and professional filmmakers. Hope to see you there!

Tickets are only $10, which is less than a Big Mac Meal on DoorDash . . .

But since we have your attention, that series unveiling that’ll take place at the State of Film event? It’s for The Film Lab!

This four-session workshop series will host its first event, 9 Essential Practices for Filmmaking in Indiana, on March 20 from 9-11 AM.

Whether you can only make it to one or all four of the workshops, we hope you’ll join!

This series is in partnership with Hoodox, 12 Stars Media, Heartland Film, and Film Indy—with thanks to the Herb Simon Family Foundation and the Samerian Foundation for making it possible!

This last one’s not our event, but we’re suckers for a cool event happening at the Stutz. And 'Easel' by Penrod is just around the corner on March 7.

This premier spring event, put on in collaboration with the Stutz Artists Association, showcases inspiring local artists and offers patrons a vibrant mix of live music, unique entertainment and art concepts, and all-inclusive gourmet food and premium bespoke drinks.

Take part in supporting the Central Indiana arts community and witness the celebration of artistic excellence at the ‘Easel’ By Penrod Awards presentation.

Get your ticket today and use the promo code “FirstFriday” for a 25% discount at checkout!

P.S. We love these guys!
