Where are you from?
I am an Indy local! More specifically, closer to the Fishers area.
Tell us a little bit about your educational background.
I went to Ball State University for my undergraduate majoring in media design and development; I am also about to finish my masters at Ball State in July for emerging media.
What is a book or podcast that you would recommend?
I would definitely recommend the podcast Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain, and the book The Women by Kristen Hanna.
Why did you want to become a fellow at Pattern?
I have wanted to work at Pattern since I was 15. I heard about the work they do and I have always wanted to get into the creative scene in Indy to make more connections. I love the city so much and wanted to find somewhere creative to work.
What’s your favorite spot in Indy, and why do you like to go there?
I love the Meridian area, and Broad Ripple. I love the Sushi Bar in Broad Ripple, and Parlor Public House downtown. They are both great spots, and highlight the funky, fun environment of the city.
What is one album that you consider perfect?
I am just going to go with my gut: Harry's House by Harry Styles. I just have an obsession with Harry Styles.
If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be?
Marilyn Monroe, for the feminist aspect. I think that she really made some important changes in how we view body positivity and she was way ahead of her time. I would love to understand where she got all her confidence from.
If you were to go on a reality show, which one would you go on and why?
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. I am not mormon, I just want to be a part of these conversations and knock some sense into these girls
What are your career aspirations after Pattern?
I would love to work in the fashion industry or something in social media. I am very open to wherever the wind takes me.
